Teen Equine Leaders CampTeens aged 12 to 16 will learn how to effectively communicate with peers, provide guidance to those they are leading, conflict management skills, and how to plan activities for young kids. They will also learn in depth horse care, spanning from daily stable maintenance, to equine first aid, to horse handling, to emergency situation protocols.
A great opportunity for youth wanting to pursue leadership positions, become camp counselors, develop their horsemanship, work towards leasing and showing, or aspire to join equine professions in the future. Teen camp promotes an in depth look at horsemanship and riding, so is suitable for youth with prior horse and riding experience. Campers need to be comfortable handling a horse on the ground, grooming, tacking, and riding independently at the walk and the trot/jog. |
